2010 Recipient:

Jason Del Nero is a structural engineer at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Jason has been involved with projects at various Port Authority facilities including the World Trade Center, the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel, and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

When he started at the Port Authority in June of 2005, he worked on World Trade Center redevelopment projects and was involved with several high-profile projects such as the relocation of the historic Vesey Street Staircase and the construction of the east basement slurry wall. He was also responsible for several of the major construction packages at the World Trade Center.

Jason is currently involved with a wide variety of maintenance, rehabilitation, and new construction projects for the Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, and Bus Terminal. He also serves as Lead Engineer for many of his projects.

Jason enjoys volunteering as a judge for the Future City Competition held yearly and organized by the ASCE Metropolitan Section. He has also judged the national Future City Competition held in Washington, D.C.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
