 A Past Presidents Council was first initiated by the Met Section in 1977-1978 to act as an advisory board to the Board of Directors with special reference to financial matters and the establishment of an endowment fund. The current Past Presidents Committee was reinstated in 2007-2008 and continues to serve as an advisory board to the Board of Directors, drawing upon the collective experience of Past Presidents of the ASCE Met Section. The committee is chaired by the Section's immediate past president.
