Why is the Future City Competition an Important Tool for Our Students?

"...They're learning that as soon as you solve one problem, you run into another, and that all the things it takes to run a city are interrelated. Also, working as a team and marking joint decisions teaches them critical skills for business." —Teacher

Regional Prizes:

  • 1st Place: $5,000 renewable scholarship to Polytechnic Institute of NYU & a trip to Washington D.C. to compete in the National Competition
  • 2nd Place: $2,000 renewable scholarship to Polytechnic Institute of NYU
  • 3rd Place: $1,000 renewable scholarship to Polytechnic Institute of NYU

(Plus several Special Awards sponsored by the engineering community, such as 'Best Environmentally Friendly', 'Best Transportation System', 'Best Power System', etc.)
