New York Cares Day Younger members and students from the ASCE Met Section joined over 8,000 volunteers by participating in New York Cares Day on October 18, 2008. This is an annual event organized by New York Cares that helps to revitalize New York City's public schools. ASCE's team of volunteers worked at P.S. 85 - Great Expectations School in the Bronx this year by painting murals in stairwells and on outside doors, painting line games such as hopscotch on the playground, repainting the school sign, and painting posters for the gym. The YMF extends a special thank you to everyone that came to help out! See the Met Section photo gallery for more pictures from this event.
