Met Section Members Volunteer at Soup Kitchen Holiday Party

On December 5, 2008, ASCE members helped to brighten the faces of more than 50 children at the Community Lunch Holiday Party at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Morningside Heights. Community Lunch is a soup kitchen run by the students of Columbia University serving disadvantaged people living in the area. Volunteers helped to decorate the room with balloons, streamers, lights, and snowflakes and prepared activity tables for children to decorate cupcakes and create arts and crafts such as snowmen, the Star of David, Three Kings crowns, and jewelry.
