History of the Construction Group |
|
|
The Construction Group was initiated with the aid of the Metropolitan Section's Technical Activities Committee. On November 4, 1963, twenty four members participated in an organizational meeting at the United Engineering Center. The Board of Directors approved the formation of a Construction Group on December 18, 1963, with Robert F. Borg serving as the group's first chairperson. During the first year of activities, the Construction Group held a technical lecture on "Critical Path Method, Its Use and Abuse," took a field trip to the construction site of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and co-sponsored a seminar on "Quality Control in Construction."
