ASCE Long Island Branch Golf Outing On September 30, 2009, the ASCE Long Island Branch held its seventh annual golf outing at the Timber Point Golf Course in Great River, NY. After starting off the day with a barbecue luncheon, sixteen foursomes from different companies competed in a best ball tournament. Windy weather made the course particularly challenging given its location adjacent to Great South Bay. The golf outing was followed by a dinner to recognize the tournament champions and the following award winners:

  • Winning Team: Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (Deborah Chase, Denise Carter, Daniel Grove, and Andrew Kay)
  • Longest Drive: Jim Hirani
  • Closest to the Pin: Daniel Grove

The winners of the "Chinese Auction Scholarship Raffle" of various golf-related prizes were also presented at the dinner. A total of 785 dollars was raised for the scholarship fund. Despite a bit of chilly weather, everyone had a lot of fun and enjoyed the event.
