The Younger Member Forum (YMF) is open to members 35 years of age or younger, as well as others that are still "young at heart." The forum is a stepping stone for young engineers and recent graduates to develop professionally via a mix of technical presentations, community service, student outreach, and social activities. These opportunities assist individuals in building a network of peers that are also in the early stages of their careers. To encourage students to continue their involvement as younger members, ASCE offers a special graduated dues schedule for members in their first five years after receiving a baccalaureate degree.
If you would like to receive announcements of upcoming YMF meetings, social gatherings, and other events on a regular basis, you can subscribe to the Met Section listserv. Anyone interested in getting involved with our group is encouraged to simply show up at one of our future events listed on the right side of this page or contact any of the YMF officers for more information. If you live or work in Rockland or Westchester counties, the Lower Hudson Valley Branch has its own Younger Member Group.
