Herrmann Provides Testimony to House Committee in Support of Infrastructure Funding
United States CapitolAndrew Herrmann, P.E., F.ASCE returned to Washington D.C. on October 29, 2008 to provide testimony on behalf of ASCE to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure regarding the need for infrastructure funding that would be included in a new economic recovery and job creation package. Last month, Herrmann also provided testimony on behalf of ASCE to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works on bridge inspection and safety.

Herrmann, a senior partner at Hardesty & Hanover, LLP in New York City and a registered Professional Engineer in 26 states, is the chairman of ASCE's 2009 Report Card for America's Infrastructure Advisory Council. As an ASCE member, you can contribute to the 2009 Report Card by participating in a survey to determine which infrastructure needs are of greatest concern in your community and ought to be emphasized in the new Report Card. There is also a contest for photos and videos of infrastructure conditions. The 2009 Report Card for America's Infrastructure will be released on March 25, 2009.
