Take Your Career Wherever You Want to Take It!
On Thursday October 15th, the Met Section Younger Member Forum (YMF) hosted a professional discussion titled "Career Development: Take Your Career Wherever You Want to Take It!" Anthony Fasano, P.E., CPESC, CPSWQ, LEED AP, whom currently serves as the Rockland Chapter President of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE), was on hand to discuss the many aspects of career development.

In addition to Anthony's many Engineering accreditations, he is also a Certified Professional Coach and a Associate with Maser Consulting Engineers in West Nyack, NY. Anthony has extensive experience conducting career development seminars within his firm and working one on one with civil engineers; assisting them with their career development. Anthony discussed and outlined the six points that are critical to career development. The six points were:

  • Career Goals
  • Education
  • Networking
  • Communication
  • Organization
  • Leadership

Anthony indicated how these six points are all equally important and discussed many examples on how people can get better at all these points. The presentation was very interactive, informative and fun. The audience was well engaged and everyone benefitted.

We had a great turnout for the event and the feedback was great. For more information regarding the presentation or how to contact Anthony, please contact Arthur J.
