| Engineering Mechanics Committee |
|
The Met Section has a group of highly active academic researchers in
addition to several high profile civil engineering companies with
considerable engineering mechanics activities as well as
infrastructure stakeholder-driven challenges in mechanics. Numerous
civil engineering urban challenges are being addressed by members of
the engineering mechanics community. These include structural health
monitoring, material durability and deterioration, high-performance
concrete, blast resistant design, geomechanics problems, probabilistic
risk assessment of infrastructure subjected to natural hazards. The
Engineering Mechanics Committee has been established to promote such
activities and to share engineering mechanics knowledge among the
members.
